Good Morning from Elite Agent

A Sydney selling agent has taken a unique approach to marketing a run down, unliveable Enfield home, calling in a buyer’s agent with a big social media following to help him promote the property. Richard Matthew’s agent, Matthew Blackmore, teamed up JBX Buyer’s Agents’, Jason Ballo, to have him record and share a walkthrough video on 21 The Parade, with his Instagram followers. The result? A clip that has generated more than one million views, almost 900 comments and an auction this Saturday where 20 registered bidders are expected to vie for the property. Get the ins and outs of the campaign and watch the viral video here.

Today we are covering:

  • Supercharged sales suburbs

  • Take clients from ‘ewww to oooh’

  • SA rental reforms come into effect

  • How Jay Giblett mixes business and lifestyle

  • And much more!

Let's get to work 🚀

Demand is on the rise in NSW

Sales volumes are rising in a host of suburbs across NSW, including Surry Hills, Woolloomooloo and Bondi, according to fresh analysis from Hotspotting. According to the Supercharged Suburbs report, which comprises suburbs that have chalked up rising sales volumes for at least the past four quarters, there’s also evidence the Victorian market is turning around. However, it looks like WA’s hot run is coming to an end, with no suburbs making the list. More here.

Rental relief for the Irish

Australia isn’t the only country with tenants reeling from rising rents. Ireland has been in the grips of a housing crisis of its own, with rents rising as fast as 14 per cent in 2022. However, new data from Daft.ie shows that rental pressure is starting to ease, dropping to 0.6 per cent over the past three months in some good news for tenants who have been waiting for a bit of the luck of the Irish. Something to smile about

On this day in 1498, the first toothbrush was invented in China, using Siberian wild boar bristles fixed to a bamboo or bone handle. The invention proved so popular that it was quickly taken back to Europe by travellers and widely adopted. What a great reason to flash those pearly whites today!
