On our radar
Victoria’s landlord exodus
Melbourne is staring down the barrel of losing 5000 properties from the rental pool. According to MCG Quantity Surveyors, a lack of new investors and landlords selling, will likely put more pressure on rental markets in the next 12 months. Meanwhile in New Zealand 🇳🇿
Elite luxury meets legal roadblock
A luxury home in New Zealand, ideal for the global elite, remains unsold due to the country's strict foreign property ownership laws. The 40-hectare estate, nestled in the scenic foothills of The Remarkables, has attracted significant interest from international buyers but is restricted to New Zealand citizens and tax residents. Despite economic pressures and potential policy changes, the ban, initially imposed to protect local housing markets, continues to thwart sales, leaving high-end properties like this one languishing on the market.
