Apple also announced a partnership with OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, to power the features.

Aussies happy in life, not so much at work

Australians and New Zealanders have reported “thriving” in life despite many being stressed at work and actively looking for a new job. That’s according to the latest Gallup State of the Global Workplace: 2024 report, which highlighted that 60 per cent of respondents evaluated their life as ‘thriving’. However, things aren’t so rosy when it comes to the workplace, with 48 per cent feeling stressed a lot of the day. More here.

Amazon’s home run

Amazon will invest an extra US$1.4B in its Housing Equity Fund, which is aimed at creating or preserving affordable housing in regions with major corporate offices. It will bring the total investment in the fund to US$3.6B. The new funding will target the Puget Sound in Washington state; Arlington, Virginia; and Nashville, Tennessee, to build or maintain 14,000 more homes through grants and below-market-rate loans. Despite criticisms, Amazon focuses on the "missing middle" income demographic, providing housing for those earning 30 per cent to 80 per cent of the area's median income. More here.
