Fixer-uppers have long proved to be ‘hot property’, and right across Europe, there are quite a few once-luxurious homes that fit the bill. With their overgrown grounds, towering turrets, and long, empty hallways, there are many abandoned mansions or castles with no one to give them some TLC, such as an abandoned 18th-century castle in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt or the 15th-century French castle in the Corrèze region. It might be a bit tricky to find a comparable sale, though…. More here.
