“They said it”

With the disruption caused by automation, artificial intelligence, smart building systems and intelligent devices at every stage of the real estate value chain, business as usual is shifting.

That’s the Property Council of Australia CEO Mike Zorbas on the impact and take-up of AI in the real estate sector. More below…

Good Morning from Elite Agent

The Property Council and Yardi have dropped their latest Digital Transformation Report and it shows that while 35 per cent of property professionals believe AI will have a “revolutionary impact” on the sector, 31 per cent haven’t taken any steps to adopt the technology yet, and 28 per cent are uncertain about their next course of action. There’s more on that here.

But if you’re like 30 per cent of the survey respondents who have started researching AI, but need a bit of help to truly leverage its power, then Elite Agent Managing Editor, Samantha McLean, has you covered with her AI Powered Agents blog. This is where Sam regularly shares super clever and really useful AI prompts, tips, hacks and more, to help you leverage AI to do more, in less time, in your business. You can sign up here to get all of her AI knowledge straight to your inbox.

Today, we’re covering:

  • Can FHBs really save a deposit faster?

  • Persuasion strategies for every type of client

  • First National’s spirit of collaboration

  • Where Sydney prices will rise the most

  • And much more!

Let's get to work 🚀

Closer to home

First-time buyers can save a 20 per cent deposit for a house two months faster now than they could a year ago, if certain drivers are present. According to Domain’s First-Home Buyer Report, it now takes a couple aged between 25 and 34, four years and nine months to save a 20 per cent deposit for an entry-price house. But, according to Chief of Research and Economics Dr Nicola Powell, there’s a hitch. “This decrease primarily applies to Australians who can save a consistent amount ongoingly and have experienced wage growth, as these factors are key drivers.” More here.

Love soars to new heights

We’ve mentioned before about how the commercial real estate market in low-earth orbit is taking off with things like space hotels. But now there’s another place in outer space - a restaurant fit for lavish marriage proposals. Paris-based agency ApoteoSurprise will offer lovebirds the chance to propose with breathtaking views of Earth, from an altitude of 35km, from next year. StellarEmbrace, and AI-powered robot, will serve diners a gourmet meal prepared by a French chef with two Michelin stars. But space isn’t the only place you can purchase real estate that’s not on earth. You’ve also got residential skyscrapers in the Metaverse.
