Good Morning from Elite Agent
A few folks may be bandying around the idea of a May interest rate cut, but it seems Elite Agent readers think a September drop is much more likely. According to the results of our snap poll from Movers + Shakers, our new Sunday newsletter (subscribe here), precisely zero Elite Agent readers think the RBA will cut rates in May. Instead, 54 per cent of you say a rate drop is most likely in September, while 38 per cent think Michele Bullock will wait until early 2025 and 8 per cent say late next year is when rates will fall.
And to keep you up-to-date this long weekend, don’t forget the Elevate podcast, with guest Josh Horner, will drop on Saturday, while Movers + Shakers will arrive in your inbox on Sunday morning. Both go really well with an Easter egg, trust us! We’ll be eating a bit of chocolate ourselves, so The Brief will be back on Tuesday. Until then, have a safe and Happy Easter.

Rapid response creates calm
Here’s a story to warm your heart this long weekend, with an incredible property manager going above and beyond for a tenant who just had their car stolen. Before Ray White Inner North’s Kat Byrne could organise to get her tenant’s locks changed, she first had to approach the situation with compassion and put her tenant’s fears at ease, before leading her through what to do. “There’s nothing worse than not feeling safe in your own home…So you have to take all of those concerns onboard and picture yourself in that situation,” Kat says. You’ll find the full story, and Kat’s tips on what to do if you’re ever in the same situation, here.

It’s a time warp
Have you ever turned to a colleague and noted, “Gosh this week has gone fast”, only to have them say, “Really? It’s dragged on forever”. Well, according to Wilfrid Laurier University psychologist Anne Wilson, that‘s because the way time passes can feel different to different people. Your subjective sense of time can also affect how you think, feel and do things each day. And if you happen to feel like you want to make the most of your time today, and get ahead of the Easter downtime, Caroline Bolderston has some super good tips for getting the most out of the hours in your day, here.
Wishing you a productive day
