Northern Ireland's house prices surge

Northern Ireland continues to lead the UK in annual house price growth, with a 5.8 per cent year-on-year increase in July, reaching an average property price of £195,681 (AUD$379,589). Nationally, UK house prices rose 2.3 per cent, marking the highest growth since January, with the average house price hitting £291,268 (AUD$564,987), according to Halifax's latest report. The only region to experience a decline was Eastern England, where house prices fell by 0.4 per cent to £330,282 (AUD$640,152). More here.
