Rental affordability is at its worst level in almost two decades, with households earning a median income of about $111,000 able to afford 39 per cent of rentals advertised between July-December last year.
According to PropTrack’s new Rental Affordability Index, which analyses rental affordability across different household income brackets and locations, even households with an income of $170,000 can’t afford every rental property. In contrast, those with an income of $49,000 can’t afford any rental properties. More here.
