Good Morning from Elite Agent
A UK man, from the seaside town of Worthing, has run the length of Africa in an epic marathon that took him 352 days and through 16 countries. Along the way, Russell Cook, who has struggled with his mental health, gambling and drinking over the years, raised £700,000 (AUD$1.34M) for charity. Of course, this reminds us of Nedd Brockmann, who ran 4000km from Perth to Sydney in 47 days, to raise more than $2.5M for homelessness charity Mobilise. And according to mindset coach Jet Xavier, there’s a lot you can learn from Russell, Nedd and their running feats, not least of which is how to show up as the best version of yourself every day. ‘Take the pressure down…’
That’s no doubt the phrase (or John Farnham song) renters in Queensland and Western Australia are voicing right now, following the release of the latest Suburbtrends Rental Pain Index. The analysis shows more than 85 per cent of areas in those states are in extreme rental pain. Nationally, 72.18 per cent of areas are grappling with severe rental stress. Suburbtrends Founder Kent Larder says swift action is needed to put a roof over people’s heads and mobile home villages and prefabricated small homes could be the solution. More here.

Shane Kempton: Navigating the real estate jungle
When it comes to crafting real estate success, newcomers may think a detailed map, rather than a compass, will lead them more quickly to triumph and glory. In today’s feature, Shane reveals why expert maps may lead you astray and why success lies not in following the map, but in forging your own path with courage and resilience. More here.

What’s his secret?
“Everything in moderation” is the secret to a long and happy life, according to the world’s oldest man, John Tinniswood. John, who is 111, was recently awarded the title following the death of 114-year-old Juan Vicente Perez, from Venezuela. And when asked what his secret was, John noted that “everything in moderation” included his weekly treat of fish ‘n’ chips. “I think looking forward to my next visit to the chippy has kept me young,” he said. And someone else who is a big fan of keeping things simple in life is Caroline Bolderston, who shares three simple steps to help you develop greater resilience here.
Wishing you a productive day
