Mortgage holders could soon be in for another interest rate rise, with inflation increasing from 3.6 per cent in April to 4 per cent in May. Rate City Research Director, Sally Tindall, says the RBA could be left with no option but to lift rates in August, while REIA President Leanne Pilkington says inflation is proving ‘sticky’ but it will be the June quarterly data that will be “integral” to the cash rate decision at the RBA’s August meeting. Saving a tenant from despair

When an elderly tenant called to say he couldn’t afford rent or food, Kayla Johnson knew she had to do something. Together with her colleagues from Ray White Maroochydore, Kayla headed to the tenant’s place, taking some food with them. Next, the team helped connect their tenant with services to help pay his rent, get his mental health back on track and saved the man from becoming homeless. Agents in San Francisco needing a ride to their next appraisal can now order a driverless taxi. Waymo has eliminated the waitlist for its robotaxi service in the city, allowing anyone to immediately hail a self-driving vehicle via its app. This decision follows Waymo's recent voluntary software recall and aligns with its strategy in Phoenix, its first driverless taxi market. The service has gained popularity, with tens of thousands of weekly trips.
