Good Morning from Elite Agent

If you’re one of the many agents who love to plan an ideal day, then you might be interested to know a new Aussie study has discovered how long to sit, stand, exercise and sleep each day to best benefit your health. According to the numbers, in an ideal day you should get 8 hours and 20 minutes of sleep, spend 6 hours sitting, spend 5 hours and 10 minutes standing, and spend 4 hours and 30 minutes being active, equally divided between light and moderate to vigorous intensity. And if you’re not into running your day by the clock? Then Atlassian work futurist Dom Price has some sage advice on how to follow rituals instead of routines. More on that here.

Today, we are also covering:

  • McGrath Townsville gives back

  • Easing the PM workload with tech

  • Listings surge post Easter

  • Jarryd and Ryan Fisher join RE/MAX

  • And much more!

Community spirit

Brad and Kaye Matheson have a lot to celebrate. Not only have they just chalked up 10 years as McGrath Townsville, they’ve also donated more than $100,000 to charity as part of the agency’s Community Giveback Program. Brad says real estate is about so much more than just selling homes, it’s about lending a helping hand and giving back to the community that has given so much to them. More here.

Why is there a pig in the property?

Here’s a Friday funny - a list of 30 terrible, but highly amusing, real estate listing photos you won’t believe are real. But, sadly, they are. Featuring everything from spooky apartments to grass covered pools and live bats, pigs and wild horses in various rooms, these hilarious photos serve as a comedic lesson in what not to do when selling a house. Check them out here.

That’s sibling love!

UK woman Georgia Laurie has been awarded with a medal for gallantry from King Charles III after bravely saving her twin sister from a crocodile attack in Mexico. Despite facing multiple attacks, Georgia fought off the crocodile and pulled Melissa to safety, enduring injuries herself. This recognition comes after their traumatic 2021 vacation, where they were misled about the river's safety; Melissa survived severe injuries, and both sisters now advocate for PTSD awareness and medical aid in Mexico.
