Good Morning from Elite Agent

Knowing and understanding your ‘why’ is something often touted as the key to success in real estate, and a recent study has also discovered having a purpose at school and work, is the greatest predictor of happiness among Gen Zers. This is pretty important, because Gen Z form a large portion of your current and future agents, PMs and team members.

That’s not to say irrespective of age we all like to feel a sense of purpose and one person that knows that is the legendary Bob Wolff. If you need to crank up the energy for the week ahead, look no further than here.

Today, we are also covering:

  • Hidden havens in a hot market

  • How real estate is similar to running (the sport that is!)

  • RE/MAX Extreme expands in Perth

  • Architectural marvel hits the market

  • And much more!

Hidden havens in a hot market

Property prices continue to rise, as does the cost of living. But that doesn’t mean there are no affordable homes on the market. According to the latest Herron Todd White Month in Review, well located units offer solid opportunities to enter our capital city markets, while areas such as Western Sydney, Melbourne’s CBD and Brisbane suburbs such as Ascot still have affordable properties. Katrina Tarrant

Stuck in a real estate rut? Here's why you should lace up and level up!

In the middle of a gruelling morning run recently, Harcourts NSW CEO Katrina Tarrant had a lightbulb moment. Real estate, just like running, isn’t about looking for the easy path, but pushing yourself to “be better” one step at a time. In today’s feature, Katrina reveals how you can embrace “feeling the burn” and ditching the wish for a smooth road ahead, in favour of the unpredictability that leads to personal and professional growth. Meanwhile in New Zealand 🇳🇿

A pawsitive change?

New Zealand landlords will be able to charge a pet bond for tenants with animals from 2025, as part of a plan to help more renters with pets secure housing. The bond would be set at a maximum of two weeks rent and renters would be liable for any damage caused, irrespective of whether it was due to an accident or lack of care. Changes to the Residential Tenancies Act would also mean landlords could only deny tenants with pets on reasonable grounds, such as the size of the property, insufficient fencing, body corporate rules or council bylaws. Art in motion

Dance and yoga lovers will be able to workout alongside the Mona Lisa and The Raft of Medusa, two of the world’s most famous artworks, at the Louvre in the lead up to the Paris Olympics on July 26. The world’s biggest museum will give visitors the opportunity to participate in dance, yoga and workout sessions while gazing at its renowned paintings and sculptures. The mayor’s office says the sessions are part of the host city’s aim to create a “people’s Games” where Olympic enthusiasm can be shared throughout the city. We just hope those doing a workout have good balance!
