“They said it”
“The reality is, our leadership team should reflect the diversity of our society, so that we can make better decisions, reflective of our customers and reflective of our team and who we’ve got in the business.”
Good Morning from Elite Agent
Today is International Women’s Day, with the UN this year adopting the theme ‘Count her in: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress.’ Today we celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, and also remind ourselves of the work that still needs to be done to achieve gender equality. On that note, we have some enlightening and inspiring IWD content for you today, kicking off with new data that shows more Australian women than men own property, but find it more difficult to enter the market early. More on that here. And if you continue reading below, you’ll discover how one agency achieved a zero gender pay gap, and why demystifying the housing market fills one incredible woman’s career cup.
Today, we’re covering:
The agency with zero gender pay gap
Decoding Australia’s property pulse
Housing affordability at crisis levels
Changes to the real estate award
And much more!
Let's get to work 🚀
On our radar
Zero gender pay gap no little achievement

But Little Real Estate has well and truly defied that trend, recording a zero gender pay gap in the 2023 financial year. According to COO Rebecca Kerr, a leadership team equally made up of men and women, workplace flexibility and an ethos of equality and diversity are just some of the strategies behind the numbers. Jeff Bezos has regained his spot as the world’s richest person, reclaiming the title from Elon Musk. The Amazon founder took top spot on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index with a fortune of about $200 billion. He edged out Tesla CEO Elon Musk by about $2 billion. Musk now has a net worth of about $198 billion. One thing we’re pretty certain of, is that Bezos and Musk know what money they have in their pipeline of future work. And Ray White Chief Strategy Officer for Real Estate Mark McLeod says as real estate agents, you need to know the same. Rather than simply telling you what stock is likely to come to market soon, analysing your pipeline can highlight the structural strengths and weaknesses in your whole business. More here.
