Peter Brewer fosters rental education
Peter Brewer has been appointed as Strategic Partnerships Ambassador for the Tenancy Skills Institute, to help tackle the housing crisis in Queensland. Peter will leverage his industry experience to foster stronger relationships with the real estate sector, as the institute looks to teach young people, and those at risk of losing their tenancy, the skills needed to maintain a successful rental agreement.
A cruel irony?
Proposed tenancy reforms, including ending no-grounds evictions, will harm not help NSW renters, according to the REINSW. REINSW CEO Tim McKibbin says the proposed changes, due to come in early next year, will drive investors away and make the rental market even tougher for tenants. PICA Chairman Ben Kingsley concurs, fearing small business private rental accommodation providers will turn to other forms of investment instead.
