Good Morning from Elite Agent
Don’t you just love a good game of Scrabble? There’s nothing quite like the buzz of a triple letter or word score. Right? Well, it seems not everyone loves the word game as much as the EA team does, which is why Mattel has launched a new version of the game, which promotes collaboration over competition. Scrabble Together adds a second side to the board where, instead of competing, players collaborate to complete goal cards, and there are helper cards if if you need them. And one property expert who is a big supporter of collaboration over competition is Rent Roll Starter’s, Ellen Bathgate, who says more property management leaders than ever before are sharing what’s working in their agency with their competitors. “There’s brainstorming, strategising and planning together to make their businesses better,” she says. More on that here.

Hundred4Harper raises $100K
The Agency’s Lee Dowdall, through his charity Hundred4Harper, raised more than $100,000 for research into childhood brain cancer last weekend. The fourth annual Hundred4Harper fitness challenge attracted almost 250 participants, with the funds raised going to RUN DIPG, which researches Diffuse Midline Glioma. The event is held in honour of Lee’s daughter Harper, who lost her battle with Diffuse Midline Glioma in 2019. More here.

You are what you eat
They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but what about deskfast? Today is officially National Deskfast Day, which is where you and your colleagues bring your breakfast to work and eat it at your desk. When the day first started in 2008, nutritionists were appalled at the idea of people eating breakfast at their desks, but research showed they ate less sugary spreads and cereals and more healthy options like breakfast muffins or porridge. And one big believer in the saying ‘you are what you eat’ is Harcourts WA Chief Executive Officer, Shane Kempton. Sha says the way your brain operates and what you fuel it with has a direct correlation with your ability to perform at your best or trudge through the day with a bad case of brain fog. More here.
