“They said it”
“Right from the start we had to squeeze every bit of juice out of everything, every buyer enquiry, every listing, every door knock. Once we started, we knew it was make or break and if we weren’t super sharp, it wasn’t going to work.”
Good Morning from Elite Agent
A bit of good news for home owners this morning - distressed listings continued to fall in February, with the latest figures from Domain showing a drop in every capital city. The proportion of distressed listings has fallen to a record low of 1.6 per cent in Perth, while in Hobart, distressed listings make up 0.7 per cent of total listings, which is the lowest of all the capitals. We asked Domain Chief of Research and Economics Dr Nicola Powell what’s led to the drop in distressed listings and she shares her analysis here.

The switch cost
If you check out the job ads on the employment portals you’ll find many position descriptions calling for “excellent multi-taskers”. But, according to University of California Informatics Professor Gloria Mark, multi-tasking is a misnomer, and all you’re really doing is switching your attention between tasks rather than working on them simultaneously. Plus, Stanford Professor of Psychology, Anthony Wagner, says multi-tasking always comes with a “switch cost”, which means you will be slower and less accurate than had you focused on a single task. So, how can you make sure you kick off this week on the right foot and get stuff done? We’ve got some productivity tips for you here.
