HOW TO BOOST CLIENT ENGAGEMENT

Mastering client engagement using AI Photo: GettyImages

Do you know how to master client engagement using generative AI tools? If not, you're missing something that could be the difference between winning and losing listings.

Samantha McLean, founder of Elite Agent, had a pretty successful sales career before Elite Agent, but it wasn’t always the case.

The reason: Every personality you meet is different so the same sales approach won’t appeal (or work) on everyone.

Years ago, figuring out those approaches was difficult and expensive. As a salesperson, you needed some serious training on DISC profiling to adapt your deal-winning strategy.

Today, AI tools like Crystal allow anyone to gain similar insights without extensive training—and they can do so quickly…

AI Powered Agents

Personalise client interactions using AI

AI tools such as Crystal Knows can transform how agents communicate with their clients by analysing their public information and offering insights into their communication preferences. For instance, if the tool identifies that a client prefers direct, no-nonsense communication, agents can skip the small talk and present information succinctly.

This personalised approach is particularly beneficial in listing presentations, allowing agents to build rapport and trust quickly. This can give an agent a winning edge in closing deals.

Use AI to analyse client feedback

Client feedback is a treasure trove of information that can help agents refine their services - although reading and sorting through numerous reviews can be tedious and time-consuming. AI tools, like ChatGPT or Claude, can simplify this process by quickly analysing all client feedback and identifying key strengths, areas for improvement, and recurring themes. Agents can use these insights to enhance service offerings and address client pain points.

If you’re a business owner, you might use AI to analyse competitors’ public reviews, gaining insights into their strengths and weaknesses and position your own services accordingly.

Automate responses to common inquiries

Tools like Lucy, an AI-powered voicemail system from Australian company Curious Thing, can handle client enquiries if you’re in a meeting, ensuring that no potential lead is missed.

But Lucy can do more than answer the phone: She can also optionally provide details about upcoming open homes, answer frequently asked questions and even schedule callbacks. This system boosts efficiency by managing routine inquiries and showcases an agent’s commitment to being responsive, even outside standard business hours.

TOGETHER WITH DPP PROPERTY

Also, on the topic of AI—with its ability to analyse vast amounts of data in real time—agents now have instant access to important market insights, which in turn allow them to provide faster, more informed advice to clients.

Zaki Ameer, founder of DDP Property, explains that this technology also automates routine tasks, such as drafting contracts and answering frequently asked questions, freeing agents to build client relationships and close deals.

While AI offers cost savings and operational efficiency, Mr Ameer stresses it should complement, not replace, human expertise. ”Buyers still want that personal touch and the reassurance of talking to an experienced agent. AI enhances our ability to provide that, but it doesn't replace it."

SMART SNIPPETS

NSW government duplex reforms to increase home supply
NSW has introduced sweeping changes to duplex development rules. The reforms now allow dual occupancy on smaller blocks across most council areas, targeting the 'missing middle' between sprawling suburbs and high-rise apartments. Councils are reportedly embracing the change, with many projects now falling under complying development.

Trump vs Harrris: US Election impact on housing market
The 2024 US presidential election presents two contrasting paths for the housing market. A Kamala Harris victory could focus on stabilising housing prices through affordable housing initiatives while a Donald Trump win could trigger a surge in home sales and refinancing, as he is expected to push for lower interest rates and deregulation, boosting disposable income and market activity.

Affordable homes take the lead
Affordable homes are now outperforming luxury properties across Australia. Rising interest rates have created "mortgage fatigue" among luxury homeowners, while budget-friendly properties are seeing stronger price growth. Perth's outer suburbs are flying with Kelmscott surging over 34% in the past year, making it a standout performer.

NextDC acquires Ian Malouf's Sydney site for $353M
Billionaire Ian Malouf has sold a massive 248,000sqm parcel of land in Sydney’s Eastern Creek for $353 million, marking the end of his long-held plan to build a waste-to-energy plant on the site. Originally earmarked as residential land, NextDC plans to develop the land into a major data centre. This deal highlights the shift in land use priorities in Western Sydney as demand for data centres grows, driven by the surge in artificial intelligence and smart technology.
