Good Morning from Elite Agent

It has been a case of out with the old and in with new recently, with Boston Dynamics retiring its hydraulic humanoid robot Atlas and just a day later launching its fully electric successor, which is also named Atlas. The new and improved version is stronger, more dexterous and more flexible than an Olympic gymnast. Atlas’s capabilities will initially be tested in the automotive manufacturing space, but we can’t help but wonder if the robot could be an extra set of hands at an open or conduct routine inspections. Read more, and see Atlas in operation, here.

Today, we are also covering:

  • Building a referral network

  • Tax reforms to rescue rentals

  • Cheap coastal hotspots

  • Commercial recovery surprises experts

  • And much more!

Let's get to work 🚀

Cheap coastal hotspots

Forget Byron Bay, there are several coastal property hotspots where prices remain under the magic $1M mark, and offer buyers luxury beachside digs at affordable prices. Leading the way in South Australia is Christies Beach and Port Noarlunga South, where houses are priced at $636,650 and $585,773 respectively. Check out the best beachside bargains in other states here.

Every home has a story

In the US, TikTok user Aurora Blazingstar and her partner, have uncovered a concealed room in their home four years after moving in, prompting several theories on what the room was used for. The couple found the room through a sliding drywall door after removing their basement carpet. The couple also found another hidden space behind a wall mirror upstairs, which they have repurposed into a playroom for their children. Watch the couple reveal the room here.

There’s no doubt mobile phones are a real estate agent’s most used device, but they an also be a bit of a distraction. So much so that a restaurant in Verona, in northern Italy, is offering a free bottle of wine to customers who hand over the phone during their meal. Owner Angelo Lella, says the aim iss to encourage diners chat to each other instead of constantly glancing at their phones. And one real estate professional who has some simple, yet effective, ways to silence digital distractions is Fiona Blayney. Fiona says segmenting your tech time, turning off notifications and putting your phone out of reach can all help you be more productive. More here.
