“They said it”

“They’re the ones that call me in to begin with, either because of my sales or the connection that I have with them. And I think honouring that commitment, and doing everything you said you were going to, is vitally important.”

That’s LJ Hooker’s Nyree Ewings on the personalised service she delivers in her business. More below…

Good Morning from Elite Agent

At Elite Agent we have a ‘quick daily stand-up’ every morning at 9.45am. Others might call it a ‘check-in’, or a ‘touch-base’. But, even more important than the name, the time a meeting is held at is causing conjecture in some professions (don’t worry, we’re sweet!). Apparently, employers love 8am meetings while employees, well, don’t. And there’s more research that suggests between 10am and 12pm is the best time to set a meeting when you want folks to concentrate, while attendance is highest for meetings between 2.30pm and 3pm. And if you want some tried and tested tips on how to get the most out of your meetings, head here.

Today, we’re covering:

  • Auction action lifts for Autumn

  • Nyree Ewings: The heart behind the homes

  • Building approvals fall again

  • The buoyant seaside office market

  • And much more!

Let's get to work 🚀

Anything else?

I just called to say…

It was on this day in 1876 that the US Patent Office issued Alexander Graham Bell with a patent for the telephone. He then built, and tested, the first working telephone three days later. Speaking to his assistant, Thomas Watson, Bell is reported to have said, ‘Mr Watson, come here, I want to see you”. Coincidentally, Bell refused to have a telephone in his office, as he thought it was a distraction from his scientific work. For real estate agents, the telephone and mobile phone are critical tools. But talking on the phone isn’t a skill everyone finds easy. But don’t fear, cold call expert, Odile Faludi, has 12 tips for better telephone technique here.
