Dave Manby and Raymond Pienaar have rebranded as Harcourts Property Hub, bringing with them three franchises, with two more due in the next 12 months. The co-directors say they’re looking forward to growing their business, their team and their contribution to the community. Meanwhile, Harcourts Australia CEO Adrian Knowles says the rebrand is “certainly the biggest move since Harcourts established itself in Australia”. More here.

Sleeping out for a cause

Next month, LJ Hooker Group CEO Christine Mikhael will spend a night sleeping rough to raise funds and awareness for the 122,000 Aussies that are homeless and sleep in the cold every night. It will be Christine’s third St Vincent de Paul (Vinnies) CEO Sleepout, but her first as an official ambassador. In the past two years, Christine has raised more than $25,000 for the cause, but says her personal connection with the charity goes back to her school days. More here.

The gloves are off!

Big shout-out to auctioneer, coach, speaker and now ‘fighter’ Andy Reid, who will pull on the gloves this weekend in his first boxing match with FightFit Boxing Centre. “I started out in boxing to get myself out of a mental health hole, and fell in love with the way it forces me to stay present and cut out all of the external noise,” Andy says. WeWork takeover bid abandoned

Adam Neumann, founder of WeWork, has withdrawn his bid to reacquire the bankrupt shared office space provider. Neumann's new venture, Flow Global, had submitted a US$500 million bid earlier this year, but he announced this week that Flow is stepping back due to WeWork's unrealistic restructuring plans. WeWork, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in November to renegotiate over $13 billion in leases, has not commented on Neumann's decision. More here.
